Linda was a very loving person and she valued her family and hard work. Her parents were Marvin Lewis Groom and Anita Grant Groom. She moved to Daytona Beach, FL at a young age and was raised by her aunt, Cherry Davis Woodard and uncle, John Benjamin Woodard.
