Alisha "Lisa" Schaeffer

Alisha “Lisa” Schaeffer, 55, of Eastwood passed away Sunday, January 9, 2022 at her home. Born in Syracuse, she was a graduate of the New York State School for the Deaf in Rome, NY. Besides spending time with her family, Lisa had a passion for dancing, music and drawing. She loved to laugh and will be remembered for her teasing jokes, generous smile, and love of kids. She was an animated and avid conversationalist with her quick hands, and was known for her beautiful rendition of “The Star Spangled Banner.” Her memory will be cherished and kept alive by her children, Sydney Thomas, Shantel Shepard and Deion Shepard; grandchildren, Shaundell Thomas and Cassius Williams; her mother, Madeleine Schaeffer; siblings, Alphonso Schaeffer (Diane), LaToya Roper (Jesse) and numerous other family and friends. Lisa touched the lives of all who knew her and will be deeply missed. She is now resting in honor, peace and love in God’s Kingdom. Calling hour: Tuesday, January 18th, 12-1 p.m. at FARONE & SON Inc Funeral Home, 1500 Park Street, Syracuse.
