Antonio DiGiacomo

February 13, 1932 - April 22, 2021

Antonio DiGiacomo, 89, of East Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Thursday at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Born in Italy, he resided in the Syracuse area for 55 years. Antonio was proud of his Italian heritage, but also lived the American Dream. He retired from Carrier Corporation and was a member of the Golden Agers. Above all else, Antonio loved to be with his family. Antonio is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Rosina (Campitelli) DiGiacomo; daughter, Marisa (Frank) Carello of East Syracuse; son, Anthony DiGiacomo of Canada; brother, Domenico DiGiacomo of Italy; five grandchildren, Joseph (Juliet) Carello, Anthony (Caroline) Carello; Sofia, Quinn, and Lilah DiGiacomo; four great-grandchildren, Violet, Alice, James, and Evan Carello; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 26th 8:15 a.m. at Farone & Son Funeral Home and 9 a.m. at St. Matthew’s Church in East Syracuse, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum. Calling hours will be on Sunday, April 25th, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the funeral home, 1500 Park Street, Syracuse. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Food Bank of Central New York.
