Mary (Tartaro) Speach

Mary (Tartaro) Speach, formerly of Syracuse, New York, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family in Allentown, PA. Mary was predeceased by her eight siblings, Michael Tartaro, Esther Lion, Anthony Tartaro, Frances Freeman, Rose Farnett, Louis Tartaro, Donald Tartaro, and Lucy Tartaro VanDyke. Wife of Nicholas and loving mother of Annette, Michele (Tim Franczyk), Stephen, and Monica (Victor See); beloved Nonna to Renata and Zachary See, Claire Franczyk and Natalie (Derek) Meyer, and Alanna Speach; doting great-grandmother/Nonna to Bella and Avett Meyer; and affectionate aunt to many nieces and nephews. Mary loved opera and traveling throughout Europe, especially visiting with her mother’s family in Novara, Italy. She was an avid reader, enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, and was a long-time fan of Jeopardy. She took great joy in spending time with her family, great pride in her Italian heritage, and great solace in her Catholic faith. Funeral services are expected to be held this summer, and burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, DeWitt, NY.
