Sandra Lee (Dolce) Tarson

October 22, 1955 - April 27, 2022

Sandra Lee (Dolce) Tarson, 66, passed away on Wednesday from an illness that she suffered with and wearingly battled for many years. Sandy was born in Syracuse on October 22, 1955, to the late John and Louise Dolce. She resided in Syracuse all her life. Sandra graduated from Henninger High School in 1974. She married Frank “Grumpy” Tarson on July 31, 1975. In the early 80’s, Sandra was the owner of Short Stop Market and Deli on Highland Street in Syracuse. Sandy also went to business school and obtained a business degree in accounting in 1985. She did accounts payable for Carrols Corp for over 15 years. She also did accounting for L’Arche Syracuse Community for one year and then took a position in the L’Arche Community as an assistant and resource coordinator. She spent 16 years as a devoted assistant and much loved by the core members and their families. Sandy was a stunningly beautiful, caring, and devoted wife. She was a truly excellent, wonderful, and loving mother, raising three children. Sandra also did a spectacular job raising her first granddaughter. In her younger days, Sandra loved the sun and spent many weeks camped out on the beach in Florida with her husband. She enjoyed gardening, plants, crocheting, and playing board/card games. Sandra was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Parish, attending church every Sunday for over 40 years. Sandy was truly a special person that touched the hearts of many wherever she would go. Sandra will be missed by many. She is survived by her husband, Frank “Grumpy” Tarson; children, Francesca, Lisa, and Victor Tarson; granddaughters, Marissa Tarson, Monica Landry, Miranda Landry, Amiya Ince, and Alicia Tarson; grandsons, Victor and Carmello Tarson, and Alexandrio Rivera; four great-grandchildren; sister, Cathy Phelps; brother, Christopher (Nancy) Dolce; and her cat, Calico, all of Syracuse. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, May 4th from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at FARONE & SON, Inc. Funeral Home, 1500 Park Street. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 5th at 10:00am at St. John the Baptist Church, 406 Court Street.
