Tanya Nichole Pinkston Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Tanya Nichole Pinkston, 55, lovingly known as “Nikki” of Syracuse, NY, gained her wings and went home to be with our Lord on Monday, June 13, 2022. She was born October 27, 1966, in Syracuse, NY to Jacqueline Patterson and Willie Pinkston. She attended Syracuse City Schools and graduated from Thomas J. Corcoran High School. She further continued her education, earning degrees from Virginia State University, Onondaga Community College and SUNY Empire State College in Early Childhood Education and Business. Throughout the years, Nikki provided care to the elderly at Loretto Health and Rehabilitation Centers as well as serving on the administrative staff. In providing continuous care, she worked diligently with special needs children in the Syracuse City School District. She had a nurturing spirit and love for helping others. She loved to travel with her friends and family. Nikki was anchored in the love of Christ. He was the head of her life. She was a member of the Zion Hill World Harvest Church and was an active participant in the Youth Department and Senior Choir. Nikki leaves to mourn but cherish her memory, her children, Zaire Knight and Julianna Pinkston; parents, Jacqueline Patterson and Willie Pinkston; sisters, Aimee (Robert) Lyles, Ferron Pringle, Latresha Pinkston, Jeanette Pinkston; nephew and nieces, Robert III, Alexandria, Ma’Jae, and Malia; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, family and friends and her beloved puppy, “Shredder.” She will be deeply missed by family, friends and all who knew her. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, June 25th, from 10-11:30 a.m. at Bellevue Heights United Methodist Church, 2112 S. Geddes Street, Syracuse. Funeral services will follow immediately at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Onondaga Valley Cemetery.
