Wallace Flagg Jr. Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Wallace Flagg, Jr., 56, of Syracuse, New York entered eternal rest, Thursday June 16, 2022 at home one day before his 57th birthday. Wallace was born June 17, 1965 and raised in Syracuse, NY. Born to the union of Wallace Sr., and Gloria Flagg. Wallace attended Syracuse public schools and received his GED in 1982. Wallace served two years in the US Army; during his military service he received the Army Service Ribbon, Marksmanship Rifle Badge, M-16 Sharpshooter, and Grenade Badge. Wallace worked at Van Duyn and Upstate Medical Center for 16 years. Wallace enjoyed fishing as his sons would say "he was a pro and couldn't tell him nothing because he knew everything. Wallace enjoyed spending time with his family and friends especially his sons. He enjoyed bowling, football, Turning Stone and in his spare time he was a barber. Wallace was also a great mentor to his nephews and great-nephews. Wallace is preceded in death by his father, Wallace Sr., grandparents, Louise and William Flagg of Utica, NY; grandmother, Rubin Lowery of Syracuse, NY and a host of other family members that have past. Wallace leaves to cherish his memories, his mother, Mrs. Gloria Flagg; three brothers, David (Latosha) Flagg, Eric Williams, Hakeem Flagg; five sisters, Connie (Calvin) Branch, Vesta (Steve) Smith, Yolanda Flagg, Latonya Flagg, Marla Flagg; four sons, Rashaad Flagg, Javon Flagg, Joaquim Flagg, Brandyn Flagg; 14 grandchildren, a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins; five special friends Marcel Dyess, Jeffrey (Flick) Haynes, Michael Haynes, Darby Davis, and Maurice Stenson.
